Spiral fracture of the femur
TT from South Cumbria broke his leg seven years ago and went for a couple of sessions at A Breath for Life and found that it helped his bone re-growth.
After a very nasty ‘spiral’ fracture of the femur in December 2024, he had an extensive operation which involved four pinnings and plating.
Because the bone was not healing, he wasn’t allowed to put weight on the leg, so he opted for an extensive period of nine weeks at four sessions a week at A Breath for Life which allowed him to progress his physiotherapy and use a local hydrotherapy pool.
He says
“I knew how beneficial the therapy could be from my first break, but it was amazing to be discharged after 12 weeks after the more complex break because the bone had nearly completely healed. The doctors were amazed!”
